Press Release: Trinidad Tarpon Thunder 2018
August 6th 2018

Trinidad Tarpon Thunder was held on August 4th to 5th 2018 at Island Yacht Charters, Gasparee Island. This is a full release tournament with great prizes going to anglers and teams that tally the most points during 3 sessions over one and a half days. A total of 11 boats entered the tournament with 58 anglers which included 8 juniors and 1 female angler.

This year we had 198 Tarpon released during the tournament, with 72 releases in the 1st session, 62 releases in the 2nd session and 64 in the 3rd session.

The 1st Place Boat winners Mapepire, won the top prize with an invitation to compete in the Offshore World Championship in Costa Rica in 2019. Where they will have the chance to compete with the Top anglers from all over the world. Other prizes for anglers included Rods and Reels, Yamaha Generators, fishing accessories from Guy Harvey, Tarpon Photos Etc.
